Loch Torridon Maerl Survey

Peter Cunningham from the Wester Ross Fisheries Trust organised a snorkelling survey to record the condition of the Torridon maerl bed and note any species present. Sara Nason and Jessica Young joined in on the survey. A great time was had by all including Jessica who saw maerl for the first time in person. There were lots of crabs to see and star fish too. The snorkelers had to keep a distance however from the lion’s mane jellyfish!
